Ray Johnson, Race Director comments:
“This is an exciting project which will encourage people to come to Shepway, enjoy facilities and a mainly Seafront run and will assist Rotary with local and International Charitable concerns. The club will encourage participants to run for their chosen charity. A fantastic success last year with over 730 runners and tremendous support from the crowds, there was 100% positive comment sent to 'Runners World'. I am most pleased with the support we have had from various sponsors, including Independent Insurance Services, Channel Moving, Medash Signs & Water for Work.
Also, the assistance and cooperation of Folkestone AC, Shepway District Council and the local police is appreciated. As with other events organised by the Rotary Club, this is an excellent opportunity to raise monies for a chosen registered charity”.
