Ray Johnson, Race Director comments:

“This is an exciting ongoing project that will encourage people to come to Shepway, enjoy the facilities with a mainly Seafront run and further assist Rotary with local and International Charitable concerns. The club will encourage the participants to run for their chosen charity. The event was a fantastic success last year with over 730 runners and tremendous support from the crowds. There was 100% positive feedback from the Runners World comment facility. I am most pleased with the support that we have had from various sponsors, including Independent Insurance Services, Channel Moving, Medash Signs & Water for Work.

Also, the assistance and cooperation of Folkestone Running Club, Shepway District Council and the local police is appreciated. I would encourage everyone to pass information on. As with other events organised by the Rotary Club, this is an excellent opportunity to raise monies for a chosen registered charity”.
