30th Anniversary Hercules Wimbledon Open

for Young Athletes   u-11 to u-17


The annual Young Athletes Meeting at Crystal Palace celebrates its 30th Anniversary this year on Sunday April 3rd, 2011.

To mark the occasion, for the first time they're adding events for U20 men and women, including the Dave Clarke Mile.

 

Not only one of Britain's finest cross country runners (representing GB 11 times) Dave is also one of Hercules Wimbledon AC's best known track athletes

It is nearly 30 years since he set his best time of 3:56.95 for the Mile at..... Crystal Palace - hence the new event.

 

  • a Mile race for both U20 men and women, who are invited to submit their best 1500m times.
  • Those seeded into the "A" race for each gender will compete for a £100 first prize.
