This is a new page which will eventually contain photos and articles about members whose exploits in the field of competition have done much to enhance the name and reputation of the club.

Contributions are sought from/about athletes on all 3 major disciplines catered for by IEK - Road, Cross-country and track & Field. Photos submitted will be scanned and returned within a week.

Ian MacMillan 1960s to 1980s

Known as Ian Mac (which anagrams to MANIAC, name of our club newsletter) this Invicta legend won the Senior Men's Kent XC in the snow in Invicta colours [RIGHT] and was part of the famous Men's team which took silver in the National Road Relay behind Liverpool but ahead of National champions Cardiff.
Ian is pictured left in a Canterbury AC vest winning the Canterbury 6 (10k these days) in the days before Canterbury AC merged in 1969 with Thanet AC to become Invicta AC
