Tim Corby's first track outing in 2 years

In his 2nd track run in two seasons Tim Corby (Senior) improved his single 800m outing of 2010 by 4 seconds


Tim's 2:08.30 at Gillingham puts him top of IEK Senior Men's 2011 ranking, one second ahead of Tom Purnell whose 2:09.5 came in the Final of the Kent Championship in mid-May.

 

Barry Hopkins is 3rd Senior with his 800m  in the Men's  Southern League in early May at Wimbledon

 

 

 

 

100m PB for Rhiannon

MMOpen25May2011-RhiannonWallwork4.jpg Rhiannon Wallwork (u-15) improved her 100m best of 13.50 (set last season) to 13.49 

Then she cleared 4.64m in Long Jump, and finalyy, at same venue where she had put the shot over 8.00m in April, she rounded off a full evening with her 3rd best put of the season so far

Emily tests sore hamstring

Emily Hosker Thornhill (u20) successfully tested her torn hamstring with 2:19.7, very near her season best so far.

 

Emily is 2nd u-20 in this year's IEK ranking for 800m, less than half a second behind Rebecca Weston

 

So far this season, Rebecca and Emiiy have separately raced 800m 5 times between them, with just over one second between all 5 races

 

Currently Rebecca is 41st in UK this season, Emily 47th

MMOpen25May2011-AnnabelKnight5.jpg Annabel Knight (u-13) started the evening with a 100m pb of 14.00 done twice, once in last season's Club Championships and then this season, at our own Open in April

 

At Gillingham Annabel finally cracked 14 secs to post 13.96 and celebrated with a 3.67m Long Jump .

Bobby 3rd on IEK All-time list

In her first 5 800m races this season, Bobby Clay got stuck in a 2:17 groove, just short of Rebecca Weston's u-15 club record of 2:15.9

 

Two weeks ago, Bobby finally got past the 2:17 mark when she won the Kent Championship in 2:14.9 to put her top of UK rankings 2011

 

At Gillingham Bobby went one second faster still - her new u-15 record of 2:13.95 keeps her top of UK rtankings 2011 and, it also puts her 3rd overall IEK female
