Donald Carter tops IEK rankings for this season

Tim Corby & Sam Hudson almost identical times in Races 11 and 12

221 middle-distance athletes at Watford - 172 of them doing 800m off a curved start line in 16 Open races at an average of 11 per race.

In his first outing at 800m for a couple of seasons, Tim Corby was 5th in a hectic and jostling affair in Race 11, posting his fastest time for 3 seasons - he goes 4th fastest IEK male this season

Sam Hudson was 8th in Race 12 in his 2nd fastest run at this distance - his fastest was when he took u-20 bronze at the 2012 Kent Championships - Sam is currently 3rd male in this season's IEK rankings for 800m

Race 16 at 9.30pm was the last and fastest on the programme list : Donald Carter was 3rd, posting his best ever time when he took on TWO English Schools champions from Tonbridge AC - George Duggan and Sean Molloy.  Duggan really turned it on at the bell and Molloy went with him while Donald was baulked by the dying early leader resulting in both getting away from Donald's noted sprint finish.

Donald goes top of this season's IEK 800m rankings and is now 3rd fastest EVER IEK male, overtaking Kieran Reilly and Jason Prickett but behind Michael Hicks (club record holder with 1.49.0) and James Webster who in 1981 ran 1.53.00
