County Champs U13 & Multi-Event Champs - Erith, 12 & 13 September

5 young athletes competed in the above events.

 

In the U13  girls Isabelle Harding competed and produced some excellent personal bests and performances: 75m (11.09) pb, 30m hurdles (12.87) pb, long jump (4.14m) pb, and she became county champion at javelin throwing (15.78m) at some 2 metres ahead of the second placed athlete.

 

Jildou Chappell U13 girl competing in her first championship and giving away up to 2 years finished 5th in the 150m (24.26) and 7th in the 1200m (4.52).

 

In the U15 girls Emily Higham just back from holiday performed well in the U15 girls pentathlon which featured hurdles, shot putt, high jump, long jump and 800m with 2224 points and overall 6th place.

 

Douglas Noel entering his first ever pentathlon in the U15 boys won the event !! with three new PBs, namely the hurdles 13 secs, shot 10.42m and long jump 5.39m, winning the last event the 800m by some distance and crowning himself champion with 2431 points.

 

Holly Fielder U17 ladies Heptahlon had a great day she continued very bravely after diving over the line in the first event and falling only to get a bad burn from the track on her knee..over the two day event she amassed 3532 points to gain the silver medal.
