Stanhill Farm

There was a fantastic turn out for the first cross country races of the season. And a beautiful day it was too.

First off were the U13 girls along the hard and dusty farm tracks around the rhubarb fields. A superb run from Teigan Sullivan finishing in 3rd place, followed by Chloe Sands in 22nd, Eliza Mills in 47th and Tullulah Butcher in 49th.

The U13 boys were next to tackle the fast course and congratulations go to Tom Hutton who ran a fantastic race to come home in 1st place. Reef Page followed in 5th place, Isaac Waters in 22nd, Benedikt Stokes in 28th, Kado Bateman in 35th and Adam Whitlock 55th and Harrison White in 63rd. Well done boys, an excellent team effort coming in 2nd overall.

The U15 girls battled hard with the temperature rising into the late teens. An impressive 12th and 13th from Maddison Sawyer and Jildou Chappell respectively. 18th place for Isabelle Harding followed in by Abigail Hope in 25th. An excellent 3rd place for this team.

A team of three set off in the U15 boys, Oscar Parrick leading them home in 3rd position, Sam Newson looking strong in 10th and Thomas Williams in 34th. A creditable 4th in the team standings.

The U17 and U20 ladies ran together with our U17's performing brilliantly. Roseanna Temple came into a very well deserved 2nd place and Louise Flynn 23rd. Well done ladies!

The U17 and U20 boys followed with Charlie Brisley having a fantastic battle, finishing in 2nd place. Matthew Stonier was placed 14th, 24th for Marcus Etheridge with Jo Griffiths just behind in 25th. 55th for James Ackhurst and 56th for James Futcher in his first cross country outing. A team 3rd overall. Well done all.

Jo Whitby was 12th in the U20's.

Anna Weston was pleased to be the first Senior Invicta Women home in an excellent 9th place. Gabija Rasiukeviciute and Rhian Dawes ran strongly in their first cross country for the club finishing in 16th and 27th respectively. 5th team for these ladies.

And then to the finale with the Senior Men. Gavin Whitlock was quite rightly delighted with his 121st place in this massive field of nearly 300 runners. Rob Whittaker was not far behind in 135th, enjoying the challenge of pace judgement in these conditions. Michael Gallyer Barnett came home in 247th, content with his time and happy to be competing once again. Well done team!

Congratulations to all athletes who competed for Invicta. Thank you to our dedicated coaches and thank you to all parents and relatives who transported and supported. We look forward to building on these super results over the coming weeks.
