Leaving IEK AC to join another Club
Before joining the new Club, you have to resign from IEK (using the form below) and not owe IEK AC any membership or other fees.
There is a £10 fee for registering the change of clubs.
To stop clubs "poaching" rival athletes, there is normally a period of 6 months when you cannot compete in team events for the new club - however, you may claim exemption under the hardship rule and this period may be reduced or dispensed with altogether. A genuine change of adddress which makes membership of the old club impractical is an example of hardshipand in such cases we would not object to the transfer.
Under 13s and under 15s may change clubs once in each age group and be exempt from both the suspension period and the registration fee, but must still submit the change of club form.
