HELP NEEDED FOR CANTERBURY 10-MILE ROAD RACE JAN 25 2009

This event raises vital funds to enable us subsidise our activities, particularly our thriving junior section. 1. Helpers are urgently needed. Full team of marshals and helpers is essential, to ensure the smooth running of the event, as well as the safety and enjoyment of the runners taking part. We normally ask members to help raise funds rather than race : however, if we can get all the help we need from non distance runners (eg. sprinters, throwers and jumpers... parents, firends) then, not only will we raise money, but this would also allow our road runners to wave the RED flag in the race itself. Help is needed for about 3-4 hours, 10am to a little after 1pm 2. Assistant Race-director position needs filling to be groomed to take the helm for the 2010 event. If you can assist in either of the above, please contact: Maggie Wyatt - (race director 2009) mmf_wyatt1@tiscali.co.uk Steve Carter - (Committee Vice Chair) steve@johnfoad.co.uk
