[img:631f]Jason Prickett (u-20) is pictured 7th (leader out of shot) heading toward the bell in a fast 800m A race which he would eventually finish 4th among Senior Men in 1:55.07 - one tenth short of his National Grade 1 lifetime best only 3 weeks ago. Kent silver medallist Kieran Reilly (u-17) continues his build-up of high level race experience, this time with a finely judged 4th in the 1500m A race : the bonus was clipping 2 seconds off his previous best with his second National Grade 1 in a month and, in the process beating Alistair Moses who 7-8 years ago was regularly clocking sub-3:50. 4th in their respective 800 and 1500 races against older opposition were Jake Rogers and Chris Thomas (both u-17) while Rebecca Weston was pipped, right on the line, by a Guildford & Godalming rival in a strong 800m. Pictured in their first BMC race, Red Sparrows Anna Weston (430) and Lilly Coward [far left][img:632l] raced shoulder-to-shoulder for the whole 1500m to finish half a second apart after a scintillating sprint shoot-out, Lilly getting there just ahead and earning a finger-wagging from the Referee for 'drifting' into Anna's path on the final 50metres. In the last race of the evening, Ali Noel won his 800m race, 3 seconds outside his best despite a near-suicidal fast opening lap.
