IEK young athletes bag 2 National gold medals and 1 silver

In the first event at the Birmingahm Indoor Arena, the Kent Obstacle relay team, including Poppy Collins got the day off to a good start by winning the Gold
Poppy later finished 8th at speedbounce with 80 bounces

Rhiannon Wallwork collected 2 individual medals - first, she won the Silver medal for  Standing Triple Jump, her 7.17m only 1cm short of gold
After easily winning her heat of the 4 lap race in 49.40s, Rhiannon went on to win the final in 48.40s and is pictured (RIGHT) in the black of Kent Indoors with her National Gold & Silver medals 

Kent Team Captain Lydia Gallyer-Barnett did Standing long jump and the 4 lap race, before joining clubmate Rhiannon Wallwork to take 5th in the 2-man parlauf relay over 8 laps














Kent 6th Team overall

was presented the Kent team certificate by Louise Hazel, Commonwealth Games Heptathlon Champion who attended the event all day to inspire the youngsters from all over the country
