Brisley’s London Success

On the 23rd April, Invicta East Kent’s Charlie Brisley lined up with thousands of other young runners to take on the London Marathon’s Mini Marathon, a 3 mile race through the streets of London. Charlie finished in an incredible 2nd place out of 236 in the U15 boys category with time of 15:03.

With a very strong cross country season behind him so far this year, Charlie will take to the track in a couple of weeks time in a bid to become county champion at 1500m. Charlie’s first year in the under 17 age group sees him 51st in the country after just one race at that distance. Charlie looks to beat his time of 4:16.64 at the County Championships.

Invicta are taking a 35-man strong squad to the County Championships on the 13th & 14th May, with strong potentials from across the board; from the field events to the sprints, as well as the middle distance.
