NOEL just misses out on GB vest

Invicta Athlete Douglas Noel produced some outstanding PBs in the English Schools Multi Events Championships held in Boston Lincolnshire last weekend the Octahlete ran the hurdles 400m and 1500 metres faster than he had ever done and threw the discuss javlin further than he has achieved in a multi event and high jumped to more points than any other Invicta athlete in an octathlon..his total of 4816 points means he achieved the national standard for the event and now ranks him 7th in the country a fifth place would have given him a chance to competefor GB in Ireland later in the year...Douglas now moves up to the U20 age group and onto the decathlon for next season.

 

Also competing for Kent and Invicta Isabelle Harding showed just how well she can do with a with a pb in the hurdles a first place in the high jump she finished as a first year U15 a very credible 17th out of 45 athletes with a finishing score of 2788 points multieventing at the club has never been so bright. Isabelle was part of the junior girl team that finished 3rd in England. This is the first Time to in 11 years that Kent junior girls have been on the podium.
