English Schools National Multi Events Final

Four Invicta Athletes travelled to Bedford for a great weekend of Multi event athletics.

 

Douglas Noel U20 competed in his third Decathlon he Personal Best (PBd) in 100m (11.94) 110m Hurdles (16.63) 400m (54.69) Javelin (49.68) Shot Put (11.72) and a club best for any age group ever in the Pole Vault of (4.10m),,a final score of 6119 points which is also the highest score for an u20 decathlete in Invicta EK history..he finished 4th in the individual event and 2nd with the team.

 

Emily Hingham making her way back to multi eventing competed in her first ever Pentathlon National championship in the u20 ladies a PB in the javelin of (23.95) and an overall PB of 2970 points bodes well for 2019.

 

Luke Mellor in the intermediate boys U17 Octathlon showed great progress he PBX in 110m Hurdles (16.3) Long Jump (5.61) Shot Put (10.85) Discuss(34.69) and a huge new PB of (40.03) in the Javelin a fine performance and a total points score of 3918.

 

Isabelle Harding U15 girls Pentathlon showing traning hard always pays off ran a Pb in the 75m Hurdles (11.74) Pbd in Shot Put with a fine (9.31m) and accrued well above her target with an overall points score of 3018..an overall 8th place her reward, and the second time she has achieved the National Standard in this event. Isabelle is 5th in the UK rankings in the Pentathlon and is 57th in the All Time Rankings.

 

A well earned rest for all the athletes then prepare for the indoor events this winter.
