Young athlete gets special award

Invicta athlete scoops award for contribution to athletics in Thanet

Club Chairman Derek Sackett presented a special award on Saturday to a very proud Molly Howson. Molly took part in the very first Thanet Primary Schools Cross-Country meeting in 2005 and has raced at every meeting since that time.
Molly Howson
Molly was Year 4 Girls champion for Palm Bay in 2006 before moving to Preston where, as a guest, she was ineligible for the many medals that she should have won. Molly signed off in her last race before moving on to Canterbury High School with second place on the day and fully deserved her award for her Outstanding Contribution to Athletics in Thanet 2005-8 and the applause that greeted it.
