2007 Track & Field Club Championships

Sunday saw the final day of this years club championships. It was a fine day with ideal weather conditions, athletes of all ages competed for the club championship titles. Father and daughter John and Eve-Marie Gilbert certainly took the most senior and junior athletes of the day title with John (vet 60) in all throws events and Eve-Marie (age 7) competing in the under 11 events. Invicta were pleased to welcome athletes from Paddock Wood to join us. Paddock Wood were unable to hold their own championships this year so were glad of the opportunity to compete with Invicta. It was a good day enjoyed by all. Thanks to all who helped with the organization and to club chairman James Roberts who was seen rushing from event to event to assist with timing, judging and was even spotted wielding a rake at the triple jump!
