Intercounties at Kingsmeadow (track)

* Many performances by u-13 IEK selected for first county vest were hampered when stuck for over 3 hours in traffic on way to Kingsmeadow. The results submitted to Power-of-10 have times but few names - the Discus lists only first names...? - IEK selections known for definite have been added : please advise if others need including Max Farnell was 7th in Discus (B) and 8th Javelin (A), Lydia Gallyer Barnett was 6th in Discus (B) while Rhiannon Wallwork was a clear 3rd with 4.66m, her best leap of the season so far. In 1500m, Anna Weston (A) and Ellen Whitehead (B) were 10th and 9th in races where 18 of the 25 competitors were Grade 2 or better. For results click underlined text.....[doc:690]

 

u20 League match at Ashford (track)

* Invicta's Paddock [combined track team with Paddock Wood AC] in 4th and final match of Medway Division at Ashford .....results posted here as soon as known

 

Southern championships at Copthall, Hendon (track)

* Kieran Reilly, still carrying a throat bug, raced the 3,000m Regional Championship well short of his best to finish 7th where the gold & silver medallists only just broke 9 minutes. * At the same venue Scarlett Mann was 4th overall in the u-17 Heptathlon (3,465pts) having gone to the last event (800m) in bronze medal position after a good showing in disciplines 5 and 6, the long jump and Javelin. Deal Tri's Dinosaur 10k (road)

* 11 IEK members stormed Deal Tri's Dinosaur 10k, the Men taking the team title led by Chris Holmes 2nd (ahead of both Phil Anthony and James Cotton) and only 61 secs behind M&M's international Michael Coleman. Jay Bailey (14) Martyn Rouse (20) and Roger Newson (29) completed the victorious line-up - Martyn (v-60) and Roger (v-50) also won their age category. Liz Weeks (3rd female) led IEK to 3rd place behind Larkfield and Folkestone, with Vicky Talbot Rosner and Janice Morekite as 17th and 31st females. results by clicking underlined text..... [doc:689]
