This Tonbridge event coincided with a Kelly Holmes Training Day at Tonbridge School : the Olympic double gold medallist made time after the races to have a chat with wide-eyed young athletes form all over Kent. In the Girls Race Maddy Tomlin (below) recovered from feeling poorly at training the week before to pull off a spectacular win with Connie Willett finishing 2nd in her 1st race in RED, out-gunning Tonbridge's leading runner by 1 second
The IEK Red Devils strength in depth showed as Harriet Williams, Anna Calzada and Charlotte Young all within 8 seconds of each other, finishing 4th 5th and 6th Newcomer Emily Heasman was 9th, edging training partner Minna Ford into 10th by just 2 seconds - Olivia Clarke was 14th and Ella Stewart 18th among 31 finishers
