Jake Rogers (45) shook off his S Factor Academy rival with a telling final 500m to take the u-17 Men's Kent title in 9mins 32.80 secs This is Jake's 2nd Kent title, his first, as an u-15 was for 800m at Ashford 3 seasons ago |

Emily Hosker Thornhill (48) boldly took the race from the gun to a decisive u-20 win - she had a race-long dual with Folkestone's Senior Woman Rona Loubser (91) current leader of the Women's Kent Summer Road Relay Rankings 2011 Emily's first Kent title - her 10mins 25.50secs slices a huge 44 seconds off her best (set 2 seasons ago in our u17 Club Championship) and it puts her 30th in this year's u-20 UK rankings. |

The Kent 10,000m doubled as IEK Club Championship and was bedevilled by a steady drizzle which fell after only 2,000m had been completed - Race Officials did well to keep track of all 25 athletes despite half the runners' number dissolving in the wet conditions.

10,000m Kent championship - Males(IEK 10,000m Club Championship 2011)
In his first ever track 10,000m, Tim Corby (64) matched Mark Wilkins (72) for 4,000m before Mark surged away to claim the IEK Men's 2011 title, finishing 4th in Kent in 34mins 34.2secs - Tim was 2nd in our 2011 Club Championship and 5th in Kent in 35mins 40.0 somewhat quicker than his road 10k best of 39 mins. |

Pictured midway Sharon Hawkins (89) stride-for-stride with M & M's Senior Female Helena Penfold (58) and Dave Smyth of Folkestone RC Sharon's 40mins 10.8 secs not only adds the 10,000m Kent vet-40 title to the Kent vet-40 gold for 5,000m at Ashford in May it also earns her the title of Female IEK 10,000m Club Champion 2011 |
