Grand Prix at Crystal Palace - Friday-Saturday 5-6 August 2011

By clocking sub-8mins 30secs for 3,000m this season, Kieran Reilly and Jason Prickett (both u-20) have been invited to a special junior 3,000m race against 24 rivals at the televised British Grand Prix at Crystal Palace on Friday 5 August.

This invitation makes it a total of four IEK athletes to have reached this standard of competition, having spent several seasons learning the craft of racing in the club's junior training squad.

Kieran & Jason are the first IEK males to get the same invitation made to 2 IEK females in the last 10 years - first, to Charlotte Dale and then, to Beth Carter who themselves had both graduated to this level after 5-6 seasons in the same junior squad that helped both Jason & Kieran through their formative years

About a dozen IEK members have tickets to raucously support Jason & Kieran for this prestigiuos race which is scheduled for 5pm
