Windermere Marathon

Tim Kerr completes 4th marathon in under 6 weeks!

On Sunday 20th May, Tim completed the Windermere marathon in a time of 4 hours 14 minutes, coming 385th out of a total of 774.  Running conditions in the Lake District were perfect.  The morning started warm and sunny, and gradually cooled down during the day, helping to protect the runners from over-heating.  However, the many hills and recent marathons took their toll on Tim’s performance and made the last few miles a slow slog.  Tim said he knew it would be a tough run to finish when at mile 18 he stubbed his toe on an abandoned jelly baby that felt more like a lump of lead.
