Invicta ladies speed their way into Team GB!

2012 has been a year of exceptional sport with the Olympics bringing much coverage to our sport of athletics. Bradley Wiggins may have won the BBC sports personality of the year, but we at Invicta have our own superstars that are just as worthy.

Alex Clay, Bobby Clay and Rebecca Weston have the prestigious honour of representing Great Britain at the Edinburgh International on the 5th January 2013. What a way to welcome in the New Year!

We as a club wish them good luck in this upcoming race and every success with the hard continued training that is needed to keep these young superstars firing on all sliders.

Alex Clay takes gold with Team GB at the European Cross Country in Budapest!

Further updates to this news mentioned above, Alex Clay, in her debut for team GB smashed her way into an amazing 19th position overall, in a finishing time of 14.15. This brilliant effort allowed Team GB to take team GOLD in this competition.

A proud mum watched a great performance from her daughter, who was wearing her GB vest for the very first time. What a shame that the weather was -6°C (chilly).

We at the club hope the weather is better in January (fingers crossed) and good luck to Alex, Bobby and Rebecca.
