Brighton Marathon Places Up For Grabs!

Oh, we do like to run beside the seaside! Sense, the national deafblind charity, offers places in the first ever Brighton Marathon. Organisers estimate 30,000 for the new event. The route takes in the South Downs, the heart of the city and the seafront. Highlights include the Royal Brighton Pavilion, Ovingdean Village and iconic Brighton Pier. The fast, flat, second half of the course should also encourage fast times. Marianne Beggs, Deputy Head of National Events at Sense says, “Getting a place in a marathon is extremely difficult. For runners who missed a place in London Marathon, running the Brighton Marathon for Sense presents a great opportunity. All our runners receive a comprehensive support package from our expert marathon team.” Money raised will fund work that helps deafblind people live as independently as possible. For further information about race places please contact Lindsey Telfer: 0845 127 0063 or marathon@sense.org.uk Please note: If your intrested in taking one of the places the deadline is Friday Feb 5th so you need to act fast!
