Steve Burt leads 7 IEK among 782 funishers

Martyn Rouse & Mike Conway each win age category

15 year-old Tonbridge AC boy is 2nd in whole race

Michael Coleman (Medway Maidstone) won this race last year in 31:58 when Phil Anthony (unattached) was 2nd in 32.08 - this year, Anthony triumphed in 30mins 57secs, 3 mins 40secs ahead of 15yr-old Max Nicholls (Tonbridge AC) who was just 2 seconds ahead of Martin Footman, a Senior Man from Worthing Harrtiers, both clocking just over 34½ minutes.

In the women Rona Loubser (Folkestone) successfully defended her 2010 win when 15 seconds ahead of her nearest rival - although she now ran 23 seconds faster,

her lead over 2nd female Grace Nicholls (Tonbridge AC) was down to just 8 seconds

First of the 7 participating IEK - 5 males & 2 females was Steve Burt who was 5th of 87 vet-40s, finishing 33rd overall in 38:57 - almost 40 secs faster than his time last year

17th vet-40, Michael Gallyer-Barnett was 134th overall in 44:45, the 4th IEK to finish and his time was almost 1½ minutes faster than his great club rival Gavin Knight managed in this race last year

IEK had 2 age group winners - Martyn Rouse won the vet-65s by over 2 minutes, despite clocking 2½ minutes slower than 12 months ago - evergreen Mike Conway - still breaking 50mins - won Vet-70 ahead of old codger Dave Moorkite (53:38) who was 5th of 11 vet-70s

Sharon Hawkins was 38th overall, 6th female and 2nd vet-45 female in 39:05 about 1min 45secs faster than last year when she was 4th female on the day

Janice Moorekite was 2nd vet-50 female in 50:20, almost exactly one minute faster than her time last year
