IEK Women-45 are Kent Vet XC Champions, Men-60 take silver

IEK fared very well in the KCC Vets Championships at Tunbridge Wells.

Our M40s were 4th, led home by Martin Kelk (7) with Tim Sutton (12) and Peter Bowell, returning from long term injury, finishing 31st with Ian Johns 59th in his debut race.

Our M50s were 8th team with Adam Cowper-Smith (9) followed closely by Stuart Reilly (15) and Richard Hudson 53rd.

Our strongest Male team were our M60s who tied on points with Blackheath Bromley but were given 2nd thanks to Eddie Broad (15) finishing higher than B&B's 3rd man who was 18th - Martyn Rouse was 4th, Michael Conway 7th and Peter Brenchley 25th.

Best team performance on the day came from our women's vet-45 women who won the team prize, Vicky Talbot-Rosner finishing an excellent 3rd, Sue Cooper 7th and Theresa Johns 13th, one place in front of Janice Morekite.
