IEK turnout depleted in coldest Southerns for years

• No Senior Women  compared to  5 in 2010 
• Three Senior Men compared to 10 in 2010
  

The first hill - Jason Prickett (39th) is IEK's lone u-20

Senior Men

Trio of Senior Men was led home by Mark Wilkins, 103rd compared to 97th in 2010 when Mark was 20 secs ahead of former IEK James Hogg - this time Mark was 1 minute ahead of James 
 

Tim Corby (330) was 2nd IEK in his first ever

crack at the notorious Partliament Hill
 

Peter Bowell [RIGHT] was 741st of 885 finishers,

virtually the same number of runners

as in the Canterbury 10 Mile Road Race a day later 

under-13 Girls

• Trio of Red Sparrows suffered more than most in the bone-chilling cold

Anna Weston (77) straight from finish line to 1st Aid Tent to thaw among shoals of frozen girls

Ellen Whitehead (80) kept a strong frame of mind despite cold tough conditions

Molly Dawson (204 of 242 finishers) limped most of the way after turning an ankle early on

Bobby Clay [right] was 12th u-13 last year -

A 1st year u-15 Bobby finishes 11th in 2011

Lilly Coward (137) getting ready for the race in

which her middle phase was her best yet this season

             Kieran Reilly [above] improved from 46th in the same age group

             last yearto an impressive 19th this time -

                               Luke Dawson [below] was also in good form

                                        finishing 32nd, just 20 secs behind Kieran

  Jake Rogers (76) chose the gentle slopes

  of Parliament Hill for his 1st race back

  after weeks off with flu
