James Roberts steps down as Chairman

James Roberts has today (25th March 2012) stepped down as Chairman of Invicta East Kent Athletic Club after 5 years.

James has steered the Club through an exciting period in its history, where we as a Club have actually doubled the overall number of track and field performances by IEK members, with almost half the increase taking place in our ever popular Open Meetings.

The Management Committee and the Club as a whole would like to extend their sincere thanks and to underline their gratitude for the positive work James has done in his 5 years as Chairman, and throughout his time at the Club. James' unstinting work and generosity with his time has benefitted the Club enormously and is very much appreciated by all.

James will continue his role as coach at the Club, encourgaing and developing the large group of athletes who train under his guidance.

We all look forward to continuing to see James around the Club, and wish him a well-earned rest from the hard work he has put in as Chairman.

In the interim Ralph Noel, our Vice-Chair, will step up as Acting Chair. Ralph, along with the other 7 committee members will continue to manage the Club on behalf of the members.

For any questions or queries please contact the committee via e-mail or via the website.
