The Macknade’s 10k
On Sunday 1st th May 25 12 middle-distance runners from Invicta East Kent Athletic Club participated in the 10k road/ trial run starting in Faversham and taking in the lovely surrounding countryside. There were several personal bests times by athletes putting in a strong performance being achieved by Luke Ball who came overall 2nd place
Kent Road Relays
On Tuesday 27 th May 25 21 middle-distance runners from Invicta East Kent Athletic Club participated in the second session of the Kent Road Relays held in Samphire Hoe, Dover hosted by Dover Athletics Running Club. The route following a late change due to strong winds started within the central carpark heading out over the trails. The route was sone that was slippery under foot in places and encountered several sections with increased elevation climbs. The teams were organised with the great support from the captains Grace Gibbens and Michal Gallyer- Barnett The next road relay is going to be held on 10 th June in Ashford with the final of five events being held at the home of Invicta East Kent Athletic Club, Canterbury High School on 8 th July at 7pm.
