Lacee Inter County Success

Track & Field

Lacee Webb of Invicta East Kent represented Kent at the U15 Inter-Counties competition in Oxford on Saturday 10th September.

Rounding off a very successful season, Lacee finished an incredible 3rd place in the hammer throw. She threw a new personal best of 33.02m which puts her 14th in England and 20th in the UK. This is an incredible achievement for someone who only started athletics a year ago! Lacee’s success represents a real rise in success in the throwing events for Invicta East Kent athletes and we look forward to seeing how Lacee and her training partners get on next year!

In addition, Invicta athletes had a fantastic day on Sunday 11th September at the Kent Relay Championships where they had 9 different teams competing ranging from U13s to seniors. It was the females who took home the silverware with the U13 girls getting bronze in the 4x100, the senior women (with two U17 athletes) getting an agonisingly close 2nd place silver. We started the day off on a high with our medley team comprising of Darcie Maple, Scarlet Thomas-Wright (200m) Charlotte Henrich (400m) and Amy Goodhand (returning from injury in the 800m). They finished an incredible 13 seconds ahead of 2nd place.
