East Kent Road Relays - Round 1 Folkestone

On a sunny Tuesday evening in May, the East Kent running scene came alive in Folkestone for the opening race of the Road Relays Series.

Invicta turned out in force, with both male and female teams competing across a range of age categories.
Runners tackled a challenging 2-mile out-and-back course along the scenic Sandgate promenade. A modest hill midway added a test of endurance, pushing athletes to dig deep while the sea breeze kept spirits up.

Excitement ran high as teams battled for every second, showcasing determination, teamwork, and the community spirit that makes events like this so special.

Invicta’s strong turnout and spirited performances set the tone for what promises to be an electrifying series of relays across East Kent, with the Vet 40 & Vet 50 Men finishing in 3rd place and the Senior Women finishing in 4th.
