East Kent Road Relays - Round 2 Minnis Bay

The East Kent Road Relays Returned in Style at Minnis Bay! The evening of Tuesday 19Th May saw the second fixture in the 2026 Road Relays series light up the beautiful coastline of Minnis Bay, with runners treated to a spectacular evening of racing along promenades, slopes, and dramatic clifftop paths.

Hosted and expertly marshalled by Thanet Road Runners, the event delivered everything relay racing is known for — fast legs, close battles, huge team spirit, and unforgettable baton exchanges.

The atmosphere throughout the evening was electric, especially during the senior men’s races where mere seconds separated teams as athletes surged through the changeover zones in a thrilling display of determination and speed. Spectators lining the course were treated to some truly exciting racing from start to finish.

Across all age groups and categories, athletes produced outstanding performances, making it another fantastic night for Kent athletics in one of the county’s most scenic race locations.
