Invicta East Kent Open Meeting April 2026

A lovely sunny evening was the back drop to the first Invicta Open Meet for 2026 and what a wonderful evening it was.

We kicked off with the U12 combined event, 75m, Long Jump and 2 laps, with 52 young athletes all raring to go. Our biggest ever number, the event opened with a real sense of fun and excitement. It was an incredible sight seeing all the young athletes lining up ready to race and really enjoying athletics. 

The older age groups then came out to compete in various running distances along with long jump and high jump.

There were some fantastic performances in all age groups and many PBs to end the night with.

Our lovely U14 sprinter Charlotte West baked some yummy cakes to sell for the track fund, even running a silent auction to win a  chocolate cake. This was won by Viktor Redman's mum who very kindly allowed Charlotte to sell some of it on for even more funds. Charlotte finished the night with a fantastic £136.30 towards the appeal. Well done Charlotte.
