Kent Young Athletics League 2026 - Division 1 - Meet 1 - U12s

Saturday 11th April 2026 saw the first KYAL meet of the year, held at Central Park Athletics, Dartford. This first event saw a fresh group of athletes competing, as a new U12 event was launched. This was as a result of the 2026 age group changes by England Athletics.

The end of the 2025 season saw Invicta East Kent being promoted to League 1 so these young athletes had to go into this first competition with their feet running. The previous years fantastic promotion meant they would be up against some of the best clubs in the county, however this did not phase them. 

Both the boys and the girls teams ran, jumped and threw their hearts out and come the end of the day were very firmly at the top of the overall points table!

For many of these young athletes this was their first taste of a real competition and they all had a fantastic time! They all performed so well, with fantastic team spirit and did the club proud.

They now pass the baton over to the U14 & U16 athletes who will compete in meet 2 in just a few weeks on 25th April at Medway Park, Gillingham. We wish them all luck and look forward to seeing how they progress through the competition over the summer months.
