Oliver Downs - Somerset Schools AA & Somerset County AA Combined Events Championships

Invicta's very own Oliver Downs battled through two demanding days in challenging heat to deliver a standout performance in the Somerset Schools AA & Somerset County AA Combined Events Championships, U18 decathlon, recording a new personal best of 6993 points.

Despite a mixed series of individual results, Downs showed impressive resilience across the competition, producing personal bests in the 400m, pole vault, javelin, and in his first-ever outing over the 110m hurdles.

The overall score not only marks a significant milestone in his development, but also meets the European U18 standard and currently places him 4th in the world for his age group.

A performance defined by determination and composure, highlighting both current ability and significant potential for the future.
